Three out of four children under-five now has access to a tablet, smartphone or computer, according to a recent study. The BBC’s Cbeebies was the children’s favourite channel and YouTube the most popular app.
More and more under 5’s are spending time on internet enabled devices without direct parental supervision and with this in mind we have updated our “Family Zone” page on the website to include an “online Safety” link. The link takes you to the website “internet matters” Please take time to have a look at the site it has some very useful information and links to pages on how to keep children safe when using the internet.
The children have enjoyed exploring cause and effect relationships whilst playing with the water wall this week.
We have used the remainder of the fund raised money from our sponsored bounce together with a donation from our pre-school Collaboration Group, to partly fund the purchase of our new climbing frame for the outdoor area. The children have had lots of fun this week, experimenting with different ways of moving around the frame, taking turns, coming down the slide in different ways and learning to manage risks .
